| Fishing Cork is renowned for its fishing. Many people come here for this reason alone. There are many areas to enjoy a high level of fishing. You can fish for wild Atlantic salmon on the River Blackwater. Or you can enjoy some coarse, game or sea fishing. Ballyhass Lakes consist of two superb spring water lakes with plentiful rainbow and brown trout, ideal for fly fishing. Once introduced to the lakes, the fish feed only from the fly and insect life and there is evidence that they are breeding successfully in these clear waters. These spring water lakes have only been lightly fished over the last five years so there is plentiful salmon trout and some very large rainbows and good size browns. We operate a catch and release policy to preserve stock. |

The distance is four miles. This is a wonderful circuit at any time of the year to be completed fully or partly as time and energy allow.
